Hackney Retreat

“I am so happy I was asked by Justine to teach a couple of classes at her London retreat. You can tell a lot about a teacher by the students that show up. The yogis at the unique, intimate, and spacious old pub in East London were just as interesting and lovely as the building. It was a rare treat to be immersed in the yogic lifestyle, without having to rush out and on to the next thing. Justine put together an amazing team of teachers, organised beautiful food, and handled everything behind the scenes as well as teaching! Amme Poulton

What the Yogis had to say:

“Amazing all-day event that felt like a retreat. Intelligently sequenced to be both dynamic and utterly relaxing. Fab venue. Can’t wait for the next event.”  Jan-Hendrik Grobbelaar

“Such a wonderful experience. I met some great people and as always, just loved the class as well as the workshop. The aura was real! I felt it from the get-go.” Jenni Munski

“I really enjoyed the whole day and would do it again.” Dimitri Bellos

“Thank you for such a great day of yoga and connection! The day was organised with such precision with amazing teachers and the venue was so quirky it was like a dream. I hope you run some more days like this in the future!”  Louisa Osborn

“A magical day! Thank you!”  Malgo Madrzak

“An amazing day with great teachers in a wonderfully eclectic venue. I had a fantastic time and learned a lot more about arm balances. Rocket > Yin > Gong: Perfect combo!” Brendon Butler

“Saturday was a wonderful day of yoga in a fabulous quirky venue. The very different challenges of rocket and yin followed by an incredible gong session to round the day off interspersed with conversations with lovely, friendly, interesting people. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed and will definitely be signing up for the next one.” Isobel Swarc

“Brilliant classes on Sat. Great fun. Loved it. Here’s to more.”  Michelle Cavill

“I loved it! It was fabulous. I had such a fantastic day. Thank you! When is the next one?” Sharon Mitchell

“Thank you Justine for organising such a fabulous retreat with amazing teachers. I enjoyed it so much!” Ify Akpuaka

“Thank you for organizing this amazing day, I feel refreshed! Not thinking of the time, just going with the flow made me feel so relaxed!  Looking forward for more day or weekend retreats with this amazing community!” Ece Aytuglu

“I have learned so much and felt so happy to be part of this lovely community. The teachers – all of you – were fun knowledgeable and supportive. Not to mention the venue – simply brilliant! Thank you”  Raffaella Bosurgi

“Thank you very much for the great retreat yesterday – I really enjoyed it and it definitely helped me to evolve my practice. Please let me know when something comes up in the future.”  Armin Mahboobi

“Thanks again for such an amazing day! As a new person to rocket and most styles of yoga I felt so welcomed and comfortable. The atmosphere created was productive but also warming it was a really fab experience! The gong bath was so interesting and opened up my mind to new ways of meditating. I learned a lot that I will take with me on my yoga journey! Thank you!” Hannah Todosijczuk

“Thank you for making this retreat, it felt like you jumped into someone’s house having a good day, a generous day and for me the biggest change was how light I felt in my body. I’m quite active but it is such a different feeling when you rest the mind and the body with peace.  Also love how all the pieces weaved together.” Mathilde Guittard

“I really enjoyed it. I haven’t really done Yin before but I came out feeling so relaxed – and that is really saying something for me as I can never normally switch off. Rocket as always was great and I’ve picked up a few great tips for building up my inversion practice.” Emma Robinson

“The Yoga itself was amazing. I thought the order of classes worked well for me and the arm balance class went through some good fundamentals which improved my confidence. The yin and gong were both new to me and both were fantastic. A great way to diversify one’s practice and I’ll definitely be seeking out more going forward. I loved meeting new people and the lunch break (amazing food btw) was a great chance to catch up after some morning yoga.”  Alex Price
