A series of podcasts about Yoga:

Rocket and Yin

That which goes up must come down.
That which is grounded can go up.

How does Yin support Rocket?

Amme Poulton and Jamie Clarke from The Yoga People are running a Yin and Rocket teacher training course in June 19-25th at new Yoga Studio Mission in London, E1.

Listen to our podcast and find out about the intelligent structure of rocket, and how a Yin practice can support your yang practice.

Amme and Jamie are both former students of Rocket founder Larry Shultz so this is a rare opportunity for students to learn about the rocket “through the lens of Larry” from two senior yoga teachers. Jamie also has 1000s of hours of training with Yin founders Paul and Suzee Grilley

As Jamie says, “that which goes up must come down.
That which is grounded can go up.
Like a strong oak tree”

“If we’re too rigid with rocket, then we start to move away from the essence of rocket in its playful creative and accommodating way.
As you contextualise it next to such practices like ashtanga yoga,
It’s quite yin
It’s got that Juicy alive uplifting flavour to it”
